The sun shone brightly on Anaheim as Original Software recently wrapped up its inaugural SUN (Syteline Users Network) conference. This groundbreaking annual event gathered Syteline users from across the globe, all aiming to meet and learn from other Infor users.
As our first outing across the pond, we were keen to speak to end-users and find out more about how they were navigating the ever-evolving landscape of testing, particularly as many of them look to the future and Infor’s CloudSuite.

Our discussions with attendees revealed some intriguing statistics: a substantial 45% of participants are either already using Infor CloudSuite or are in the midst of migrating to this innovative platform.
However, with innovation comes new challenges. Almost 70% of those we engaged with expressed concern over the potential impact of monthly cloud updates, fearing disruptions to operations and the looming necessity for rigorous testing.
The wrong tools for the job? 🔧
What truly stood out was the revelation that approximately 70% of the user group continues to rely on non-specialist testing methods—tools like Excel, screenshots, and email. While these may have sufficed for on-premise setups, their limitations become glaringly apparent in the cloud, especially with the frequent updates that Infor CloudSuite introduces.
The need for more robust testing solutions has never been more apparent.
Throughout the conference, Original Software had the pleasure of showcasing how our suite of testing tools can bridge this gap. By offering a specialized testing platform, we aim to alleviate concerns surrounding monthly updates and to ensure seamless transitions to the cloud.
Our tools are designed to provide users with the confidence that their operations will continue to run smoothly, without the hiccups, cost and inefficiency associated with traditional testing methods.
