Searles Valley Minerals has partnered with ERP testing specialists Original Software as they undertake a move to Infor CloudSuite.
SV Minerals manages extensive operations in California’s Searles Valley, shipping thousands of tons of high-grade mineral products every day to manufacturers in 52 countries.
With an imminent move to Infor’s M3 CloudSuite ERP, Director of IT Brian Fischer approached Original Software to help them capture, document and automate their business process testing during their ERP implementation, and create a seamless way for knowledge transfer to happen in their business.
The move to the cloud brings focus on the need to fully test business applications, including Infor, to ensure that everything works as it should do during the project implementation, and beyond when it’s time to update. To help them capture, manage, document and automate, the Original Software Testing Platform has been put in place to give SV the peace of mind at go-live time.
Being able to create our test cases and record user actions during the testing phase is invaluable to us; enabling the generation of subject matter expert documentation automatically that we can use for training purposes, but also as a playback for test verification.
