The challenge
Like many organisations undertaking ERP transformation, Fonua initially expected the project to be a relatively straightforward technical upgrade.
However, as the project progressed, the team quickly realised the scale of process complexity involved.
The initial thought was it was going to be just a lift and shift of functionality. There were a number of process changes within that as well.
The move to Infor MT introduced a new operational reality for the business: continuous updates, ongoing releases and a much higher volume of change.

Once we got into the real detail with the supply chain team, the processes just started to spawn and grow legs.
What initially appeared to be relatively straightforward workflows rapidly expanded into thousands of test scenarios involving different customers, invoice formats, payment methods and operational exceptions.
The Solution

The first phase focused on documenting and capturing critical business processes across the organisation.
Using Original Software’s platform and guided onboarding approach, Fonua worked collaboratively with business users and technical teams to build a comprehensive library of repeatable test cases.
