Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions, the aerospace and defense business based in Charlotte North Carolina, US have completed the build of a new, powerful digital knowledgebase for SAP and are now looking to further develop their adoption of test management and test automation solutions with leading testing software provider Original Software.
For Kevin Webb, Director of Business Systems SAP COE, and his team, supporting their large SAP instance was drawing a significant amount of time away from their core function. Answering internal tickets for SAP processes had grown and was taking up some 60% of their time. Something needed to change.
Working with Original Software, they created an online, self-learning knowledgebase for all their SAP processes with over 50 knowledge base resources now online in the form of PDFs, word documents and videos that outline their core processes.
Defense Solutions’ 1,100 SAP users can now easily access the documentation and videos they need to self-learn their processes via a centralized, user-friendly portal. They now have visibility of all processes and documentation in preparation for the next phase on their testing journey running user acceptance testing cycles over SAP.
Kevin commented, “My team was spending too much time addressing SAP how-to tickets. With Original Software we were able to immediately start capturing our processes and create intuitive step-by-step directions and videos of each core process. This created a self-serving knowledge base for everything SAP that users could access at any time.”
